Inside the bathroom where Blade Runner' shot dead his girlfriend

 The bathroom is now the focus of a murder inquiry.

Meanwhile Boxes of 'steroids, testosterone' and needles were found at the Blade Runner's home where he shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead after 'non-stop' arguing, a court heard today. 
The details were revealed by the prosecution on the second day of the 26-year-old athlete's bail hearing at Pretoria Magistrates' Court where he faces a charge of premeditated murder.
Pistorius looked distraught and sobbed with his head lowered as the packed court heard the post-mortem showed three entrance wounds - the bullets hit the right side of Miss Steenkamp's head, her right elbow - which resulted in a broken arm - and her hip.In the first half of the morning session damning allegations surfaced that the police and prosecution say undermine his defence, but after a recess his defence team fire tough questions at the main witness, chief investigative officer Hilton Botha. 

As the prosecution began setting out its case on Wednesday, they claimed a witness heard gunshots, saw the lights on, heard 'a female screaming' and then more shots.Mr Botha - the first officer on the scene - told the packed court a separate witness said they heard an hour-long fight between 2.am and 3.am before the sound of gunshots rang out. 

Earlier Mr Botha said he arrived at the upscale Pretoria house at about 4.15am last Thursday and the 29-year-old model had already been declared dead - 'she had on white shorts and black vest. She was covered in towels.' 


Pistorius, who underwent below-the-knee amputations when he was 11 months old, said he shot through the toilet cubicle door while on his stumps but the court heard the bullets' trajectory was through the top of the door.
Mr Botha said he believed the bullets were fired down, suggesting that Pistorius was wearing his prosthetic legs when the shots were discharged.
Lawyers and police studied plans of the bedroom and bathroom - a projector was used to beam the plans up for the public and press to see.
Gerrie Nel, the chief prosecutor asked Mr Botha if the shots were fired directly at the toilet basin and he agreed. 

'If you fire straight at the door, you miss the toilet,' he explained. 
Police believe a cricket bat found in the bathroom was used to break down the door to the toilet - part of the door was lying in the bathroom. One bullet cartridge was found outside bathroom while three others were inside.
On the shower mat in the en-suite bathroom lay a firearm and an iPhone 4 and iPhone - there was blood spatters on one of the phones. 
Mr Botha said four phones in total were found in the athlete's home and none of them had been used to call emergency services. 

The court also heard that two boxes of testosterone and needles were found in Pistorius' bedroom. where they also found an overnight bag was on a couch on the left hand side of the bed as well as slippers.  
Mr Botha said he wanted Pistorius charged additionally with a weapons violation after unlicensed .38 calibre ammunition was found in the athlete's bedroom safe - though the defence later claimed the ammunition belonged to the athlete's father Henke. 

Pistorius has said he had been a victim of crime and received death threats, but today the court heard there were no records of this.
The athlete made notes with a silver pen as the case progressed.
Mr Botha said there was 'no way' he believed Pistorius's version of events.
He said he believed Pistorius, who won two gold medals and a silver at London’s 2012 Paralympic Games, was a flight risk and he was opposing bail.

He told the court Pistorius has offshore accounts and a property in Italy - which was later disputed by Pistorius' team - and said that he saw the runner's family looking for documents and a specific memory stick with details of offshore accounts.
Discussing extradition he said: 'We don't want another Dewani to happen. We're still waiting to get him back in the country.'

He was referring to Shrien Dewani who is wanted in South Africa over the honeymoon murder of his wife in November 2010, but is now fighting extradition in Britain. 

Today details were released of a row he allegedly had with a man over a girl at Kyalami racetrack where Pistorius allegedly threatened to "f*** up" the rival.
It was also claimed he was involved in another shooting at a restaurant in Johannesburg in January and asked the gun owner to take responsibility for the incident.

The defence will have to prove the extenuating circumstances that would justify granting bail so Pistorius will be free until the trial starts.
It is not expected to begin for at least four months - it would be heard by a judge sitting alongside two assessors – typically magistrates or retired magistrates - as the South Africa legal system does not have a jury system.

There are reports that former AIT presenter, Jumoke Alao, has put to bed. Jumoke, who took over from RMD's wife, Jumobi Damijo, on the popular lunch hour programme on AIT, Gbedu on TV, gave birth to a baby boy some days ago.  Jumoke welcomed her first child; a daughter, in 2010 in Texas, USA. Her latest addition is the second from a four-year-old marriage.  She got married to her husband, Oludapo Ogunshola in 2009. There are sketchy reports that Jumoke is in the US with her family.

Okay now I know why designer Yvonne Nwosu dumped her boo, rapper Iceprince. Iceprince is now dating ex-girlfriend Yvonne Nelson. Yes, I said ex-girlfriend! Y'all didn't know this and I wasn't going to say anything but since they are kinda stepping out together again, then let me spill...:-). Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson dated Iceprince sometime last year before ending things with him to date Iyanya.

Iceprince later met and started dating designer Yvonne Nwosu. Yvonne Nwosu declared today on her Twitter account that she is single again. A source told me it has something to do with Iceprince's rekindled love affair with Yvonne Nelson after starring in one of her movies recently.

Yvonne Nelson and Iceprince were spotted together at celebrity stylist Nancy's birthday party at her home in Lekki on Saturday February 16th. Karen Igho and Tonto Dikeh were also at the private bash. Yvonne Nelson and Iceprince, who came together and left together, couldn't keep their hands off each other according to my paparazzi who was also at the party.

We have just gathered that Dr. Sid is now bereft, reports coming in now has it that he lost his dad to diabetes caused by old age. He was said to have passed on about an hour in a Lagos hospital. But I'm really annoyed that she collected so much money to come to Nigeria and only made a 20 second appearance on stage...so any article written against her concerning this concert, I will gladly publish. Okay, I hardly comment on entertainment and showbiz news. I prefer to stay on the national issues/political terrain which are my jurisdiction. However, I could not hold back the temptation to do a piece on Darey’s ‘Love Like A Movie’ concert.

No doubt, the LLAM held in Lagos was superb; star-studded, proper management, lights, sounds et al. In fact not a few have adjudged the show the best of its type in recent years. The ovation and positive review was not unexpected considering the artiste involved. Dude is good-looking, knows his onions, greatly talented and business oriented.

About a week to the D-day, news went viral that renowned Reality TV girl, Kim Kardashian, will be in the country as a co-host of the event. At 8:20pm of Saturday, February 16, 2013, she flew in.

Trust Nigerian blogs, before her arrival, no other news existed. Even major news tabloids caught the bug. At least for three straight days, it was Kim this, Kim that.

I have no beef about that. I am certain the organizers splashed plenty six or seven figures that sorta hype. And for the publicists, heavens once again beamed a wide grin at them; they must have smiled to the banks, perhaps their closets, depending on where they keep their monies.

After every every, Kanye West's heartrob and baby-mama to be, left the shores of Naija just when the concert was about to start. Initially I thought she developed flu and had to quickly jet out. Soon after, I learnt she was actually invited to do what I like to tag ‘Cameo’ (a short appearance by a popular figure in a music video).

At the Eko Hotels venue, the Kim simply posed for pictures with some of our local and a few international champions who clearly were star-struck; you could see it in their eyes and on their foreheads. I even spotted the wife of former Cross River governor, Onari Duke with her.

LLAM number one guest was kind enough to open the show, spending a total forty seconds on stage. That was it…Chikena! In all, she was there for three-quarter of sixty minutes. By 10:20pm Sunday night, she was aboard a plane back home.

The major (if not only) flaw of that outing was the presence of Kim. If it is true that she was paid hundreds of thousands of Benjamins (aka US Dollars), it would indeed be appalling.  We are talking about someone who shot her way to the limelight via the now infamous sex-tape which anyone can still download on the internet for free! So for the sake of money, we’ve sent our morals, decency and integrity on vacation.

Just few weeks ago, Miss Kardashian-West was paid $200,000 for a trip to Ivory Coast. She then proceeded to donate a meager $2,000 to a local orphanage, an amount less than one percent of her total financial terms (including flight, hotel and security charge).

Obviously Darey and his team wanted a name that would pull the crowd out of their homes. Question: Was that the best they could come up with? Whatever happened to female celebs known for their and hard work and larger than life persona:  Alicia Keys, India Arie, Adele among many others.

As a humanitarian, it is sheer stupidity to think that a clique forming big boys would dole out all that money for below-an-hour attendance of an actress whose only movie to her credit is a pornographic motion picture. It would have made more sense if she stayed throughout the event, to at least justify the huge amount spend on her appearance.

Charles Novia rightly noted and I wish to re-echo his statement: There was absolutely no need for Kim Kardashian at Darey’s concert.

News Update; Goldie Died Of Hypertension - Her Autopsy Reveals

Finally, we have the authentic cause of Goldie's sudden death.

Report following the autopsy carried out after her  sudden death  at the Lagos State  University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos  revealed that the Kennis Music star, suffered a terminal ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which resulted to’ intracerebellar haemorrhage.’  The autopsy carried out February 19, was  signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine.

The burial arrangement for the former  Big Brother Africa house mate will be announced by the family.
Goldie  died on Valentine’s Day shortly after she returned from Los Angeles, United States where she attended the 55th Grammy Awards.

Nesw Update: Oscar Pistorius gives his account of the night he shot dead his GF

Oscar Pistorius appeared in court today and gave his account of what happened at his home the night he shot his girlfriend dead. As far as I'm concerned, it's BS. 

He claimed he had been on the balcony of his house when he heard noises from the bathroom. Believing Reeva Steenkamp was asleep in bed, he grabbed his gun and shouted a warning before firing four shots through the door. It was only then, Pistorius claims that he realised Miss Steenkamp was not in bed.

'I kicked the door open,' he said  'I tried to help her but she died in my arms.'

You shouted a warning and she didn't respond? I'm beginning to believe this man is a cold blooded killer. His explanation makes no sense. Is the bathroom not in the bedroom? And to walk from the balcony to the bed where he kept his gun, wouldn't he have noticed his girlfriend was not in bed? Unbelievable! See his full statement after the cut...

I have been informed I have been accused of murder – I deny the accusation. Nothing can be further from the truth that I planned the murder of my girlfriend.

On 13 Feb Reeva would have gone out with her friends, me with mine. She wanted to stay at home. I was watching TV. My legs were off. She was doing yoga. At the end of the evening we got into bed.

I’m accutely aware of people gaining entries to homes to commit crime, I’ve received death threats. I sleep with my 9mm under my bed. I woke up to close the sliding door and heard a noise in the bathroom.

'I was scared and didn’t switch on the light. I got my gun and moved towards the bathroom. I screamed at the intruder because I did not have my legs on I felt vulnerable. I fired shots through the bathroom door and told Reeva to call police.

'I walked back to the bed and realised Reeva was not in bed. Its then it dawned on me it could be her in there.

'I kicked the door open. Called paramedics and complex security. I tried to carry her downstairs for help.I tried to help her but she died in my arms.

'With the benefit of hindsight I realise that Reeva went to the bathroom when I went to close the balcony door.'

'I make this affadavit of my own free will and have not been influenced. Contents is true and correct.

I am an international sports star, I will not evade my trial. After the shooting I did not flee the scene. I remained until the police arrived.

The prosecutors don't believe his story

The applicant armed himself, attached his prosthesis, walked seven metres to the bathroom and shot the deceased while she was in the toilet. He shot four times...There's no possible explanation to support his report that he thought it was a burglar,' The prosecutor said. 'If I arm myself, walk a distance and murder a person, that is premeditated. 'The door is closed. There is no doubt. I walk seven metres and I kill. The motive is 'I want to kill'. That's it,' he added. 'This deceased was in a 1.4 by 1.14 metre little room. She could go nowhere.'

Oscar will appear in court again tomorrow. Meanwhile  Reeva's funeral service held today

Oscar Pistorius may have killed his girlfriend in a fit of rage

He claimed he mistook his girlfriend for a burglar when he shot her, but South African police has dismissed the claim. They believe the blade runner killed his model girlfriend, 29 year old Reeva Steenkamp, in a fit of rage possibly caused by performance-boosting steroids.
First steroids were found in his home. Then Reeva was found in her night wear, which means she didn't just enter his home at the time he shot her at 3am Thursday morning. The police found a bloody cricket bat in the bedroom. Reeva's skull had been 'crushed' in the attack according to police. They also found a smashed bathroom door. Plus neighbours claimed they heard argument coming from his home earlier in the evening.
The police believe that Oscar first shot Reeva in the bedroom, hit her in the hip. She ran and hid herself in the toilet, he followed her and shot her three more times.
Police investigating the killing are focusing on Reeva's iPad, they suspect she received an early-hours message that may have sparked a row.

A South African news website earlier published a colour graphic of what they believe happened in Oscar's home (above). He will appear in court tomorrow and faces life in prison if convicted of premeditated murder as alleged by the state prosecutors. Meanwhile Nike has dropped him as their brand ambassador

Darey's show last night was incredible. The best show I've seen in Nigeria...hands down. I wouldn't know how to describe it even if I tried. But here's something I can tell you for sure. The success of the show had nothing to do with Kim Kardashian. It was all Darey, his wife and Soul Music. Kim K was there for like two seconds and took the next flight back home. She appeared at the beginning of the show, said a few words and vamoosed. Some people who paid to see her didn't get the chance.

She did the red carpet for several minutes, joined us at the pre-dinner event for like 10/15 minutes, did the photo-up with guests for a few minutes, then appeared on stage at the beginning of the show for like 20 seconds. That was it! Hope they didn't pay her more than N2, 000...lol. But like I said, the show itself was a phenomenal.
