SAMINI COVERS ‘ALINGO’, CALLS OUT P-SQUARE ON THE SONG

Samini has more or less called P-Square copy-cats. In his new song, he samples the beat for P-Square’s single “Alingo”. On the record, the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste take shots at the twins saying they copied ‘Azonto’ moves, and are calling it ‘Alingo’.
Samini sings “…the name sounds like azonto, the dance kind of look like azonto, so please tell me something I don’t know…”
And then“…no be lie, you know say these guys be my guys, but I know say garri no be rice, so please try show me what be right…”
It is obvious that Ghanaians are protective of their ‘indigenous dance’.
Samini won a ‘Headie’ in 2008 as the Best African Artist of the year.
