Contrary to speculations that veteran actor, Enebeli Elebuwa’s health may have worsened due to the silence from his end, the actor has said that he is well.
 “I’m getting better,” he said.
Enebeli spoke from his hospital bed in India where he is currently receiving treatment for his ailment. The actor’s career has been on hold since he went down with stroke last year. He was at a point taken to his home town, Utagba Uno in Delta State.
In a telephone interview, Enebeli commended Delta State government for coming to his aid. He recalled that the state government had sent fellow actor and Commissioner for Culture and tourism, Richard Mofe-Damijo, to him while he was in hospital at Surulere, Lagos, with funds for his treatment.
He said, “Honestly, I am overwhelmed by the support and encouragement of Delta State to my plight. But for the State’s intervention, I really don’t know what would have happened to me.
“The State flew me to an Indian facility in Abuja in June this year when my condition was deteriorating in Lagos.”
Enebeli noted that that was where for the first time he was able to stand unaided for three minutes after a two month stay.
“And when my condition could not improve beyond that point, the governor directed that I should be moved to India where I am currently receiving treatment and getting better by the day,” he said.
