Djinee
Just when his fans are wondering if he has called it quits with music, Djinee has dropped a hint that he has been holed up somewhere working hard on a new album.
He says, “I am working on my second album and I have a new song that I’m promoting at present. It is titled Put It On Me. I had a couple of cameo appearances in the music video with Ali Baba, Tuface Idibia, Bovi, OD and Super Eagles footballer, Kalu Uche.”
To those who have been asking questions about his single status, Djinee replies, “I don’t believe in rushing into marriage due in parts to societal pressures or for a commercial reason, which is very common nowadays; when the wedding dress, flower buoquet, size of the party, who and who are coming with the presents matter more than the actual marriage. I mean, marriage is now even commercialised.
“I’m a Catholic and we believe marriage is sacred. Many people, especially women, just want to show off on the wedding day. They are not really interested in the actual marriage, which is a lifetime commitment. I don’t want to be in a rush to get married. I will marry when I eventually meet my soulmate. Until then, I am okay the way I am.”
