First lady’s health improving; leaves German hospital

The President and other concerned Nigerians can happily heave a sigh of relief as the First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan has been confirmed alive and healthy. Reliable sources disclosed that, two days ago Mrs. Jonathan who doubles as a Permanent Secretary to Bayelsa State Government left Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she was undergoing treatment to an undisclosed hotel.
Doctors at the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden who have been battling to save her life maintained that they have been confiding in Nigerian officials on the improving health status of the First lady.
“They wanted us to discharge Mrs. Patience Jonathan but we have notified the Nigerian government through its embassy here that we will not be able to discharge our patient at this time because her situation is not stable. We still need to monitor her very well before we can ask her to proceed on any long-distance trip,” one of the female doctors disclosed in anonymity.
Top security measures were taken to hasten the recovery of the First Lady. Consequently, officials at German Hospital barred visitors and some top Nigerian officials who went to see her from getting through to her. It was also confirmed that ceaseless prayer sessions have been going on at the Presidential Villa for the quick recovery of Patience Jonathan.
